Fess Parker Older Barrel Pinot Noir 2014
The deep ruby colored 2014 Pinot Noir Older Barrel offers beautiful purity in its black raspberry, smoked herbs, forest floor and spice-filled bouquet. This gives way to a pure, elegant, yet concentrated, rich, classic Cali-styled Pinot Noir. It's another fruit-filled wine from this estate that's a joy to drink. Coming from a top barrel selection (there are only 4 barrels) and the sand and clay soils of the Rancho Las Hermanas site, it saw upwards of 25% whole clusters and 18 months in four-year-old barrels. It should drink nicely for 7-8 years. Drink Date: 2016-2024. Score - 93. (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, Aug. 30, 2016)
