Domaine du Duc de Magenta Monopole Clos de la Chapelle Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru 2013
A moderate dollop of wood stops just short of masking the overtly ripe mix of white and yellow orchard fruit, petrol and white flower scents. There is excellent richness and mid-palate concentration to the full-bodied and very generously proportioned flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the seductively textured and well-balanced finale. While not really an elegant wine this is relatively fine compared to what I typically see at this early stage. Drink: 2020+. Score - 90-92. (Allen Meadows,, June 15, 2015)
