Domaine de Matabrune Bourgueil 2009

Cabernet Franc

—VINTAGES#: 196865
Domaine de Matabrune Bourgueil 2009
Domaine de Matabrune is situated in a small, shallow valley where vines were first planted during the Roman period. Deep youthful violet in colour, this fine Cabernet Franc shows aromas of raspberry, rose petal, currant, earth, black plum and spice. The palate is dry and medium bodied, with great balance, and offers black plum, green pepper, herbal, earth, currant and wood before closing with a long, peppery finish. Try this tonight with grilled meats, or, if you wish to tuck a bottle or two away until autumn, it will work beautifully with turkey and cranberry sauce. (Vintages panel, May 2010)
