DOM Riesling Dry 2014
The Episcopal Wine Estates of Trier formed in 1966, when the Cathedral of Trier merged its vineyards with those of two nearby seminaries to make a 242-acre estate. Cellarmaster Johannes Becker used those holdings to pull off a tight, clean dry QbA in 2014, its lean, lemony fruit feeling muscular and persistent. Give it another six months to open up, then drink it with soba and tempura vegetables. Score - 90. (Wine & Spirits, Dec. 2015)
