The LCBO today recalled the 750 mL-size bottle of Old Monk Rum from India and suspended sales of this product after detecting glass particles in some bottles.

“In the interest of customer safety, we recalled this product immediately after our quality assurance staff confirmed the presence of glass particles in some bottles,” says Dr. George Soleas, Vice President, LCBO Quality Assurance.

The problem appears to be related to the bottling process.

Customers returning bottles of this product to the LCBO will receive a full refund.
