The official opening of the relocated store will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 9:15 a.m.
This LCBO St. Clair Street store significantly increases product selection and service for this community.
This store is moving to a larger location at St. Clair St. and Pioneer Line.
This 10,000 square-foot store has a shopping area of 7,000 square feet – more than triple the former store at the Thames Lea Plaza – as well as a walk-in cold room for beer, ready-to-drink cocktails, coolers and chilled displays for wine.
It offers more than 2,000 wines, spirits, beers, ready-to-drink cocktails, coolers and beverage alcohol gift packs, more than double the former store.
The store will have a large Ontario wine section with more than 170 linear feet devoted to VQA wines, displayed prominently at the front.
It also introduces a VINTAGES section to area shoppers with more than 400 fine wines and premium spirits.
A portable tasting counter will feature regular product samplings.
The store has five checkouts, including a dedicated customer service counter.
This relocated store reflects LCBO’s latest store layout and design – the product mix is the result of market research, matching products and services to local tastes and community interests
There will be 14 full-time and part-time employees, including a product consultant and a WOW (World of Ontario Wines) leader – a staff member who is designated to promote Ontario wines in the store and provide customers with recommendations and food matches. All store staff have completed mandatory product knowledge and responsible service training.
Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 12:00 noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
