New Carlton and Church store is to be located in the upper level of the newly redeveloped former Maple Leaf Gardens complex.
This new store will add service to downtown Toronto residents and visitors.
The official opening of the new store will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 9:15 a.m.
This 6,200 square foot store will have a shopping area of nearly 4,000 square feet.
It will offer approximately 1,330 brands of wines, spirits, beers, ready-to-drink cocktails and coolers as well as beverage alcohol gift packs.
The store introduces VINTAGES area to customers with about 210 fine wines and premium spirits and a wide selection of Ontario wines with more than 100 linear feet of VQA shelving prominently displayed at the front of the store.
There are also chilled sections for wine and beer and ready-to-drink cocktails and coolers, a gift section and a portable tasting counter which will feature regular product samplings.
The new store offers barrier-free access and has five check-outs, including a customer service counter offering product information.
The store will be staffed by 10 - 12 employees, with a product consultant among them.
The Carlton and Church location will offer some validated parking (based on purchase price) and is easily accessed by TTC.
This new store reflects LCBOs latest store layout and design the product mix is the result of market research, matching products and services to local tastes and community interests.
Hours of operation are 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 12:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
