The LCBO is committed to doing business in a more sustainable manner, using a variety of ways to decrease its environmental footprint. This is a very important aspect of our work.

Lightweight Bottles

The lighter the bottle, the softer the footprint: The LCBO is an international leader in reducing wine-bottle waste. Currently, almost 90 per cent and more than 900 different wines meet our 420-gram standard. This is resulting in a seven million kilogram annual waste reduction and a 20 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas generation.
