About Ontario VQA Wines

The term VQA provides the promise of origin, quality and authenticity – that the wine within is made from 100% Ontario-grown grapes.  Ontario’s unique terroirs ranging from Niagara, the birthplace of Ontario’s modern wine industry, to Lake Erie Northshore/Pelee Island and Prince Edward County, are attracting internationally acclaimed winemakers to the province. Ontario’s VQA Wines are increasingly recognized by the international wine world. They are widely considered to be on the cutting edge of what’s new, exciting, and next in the world of wine.

The LCBO reminds customers to drink responsibly over the long weekend. Visit www.alwaystakingcare.ca for tips and recipes to ensure Thanksgiving celebrations with family and friends are memorable for the right reasons. Customers are also encouraged to return empty beverage alcohol containers (large and small glass bottles, PET plastic, Tetra Pak cartons, bag-in-box and cans) to The Beer Store for a full deposit refund.
