Beer's for more than sipping

Author and blogger David Ort wanted to inspire people to bring beer to the dinner table by dreaming up sophisticated yet accessible dishes for people who appreciate great food paired with great beer. He set out to make sure the recipes used beer in a purposeful way to accomplish something no other ingredient could. Not surprisingly, his food tastes delicious! Here are just a few of the recipes.

David Ort is the author of The Canadian Craft Beer Cookbook (Whitecap Books). As an editor of the online lifestyle magazine Spotlight Toronto and creator of the blog Food with Legs, David has hundreds of articles on the Toronto culinary scene under his belt. He tweets about beer and food @ortdavid.
